Chris Poels, Guitars.
As a teenager growing up the Washington DC suburbs, Chris was influenced by bands such as Minor Threat, Scream, Bad Brains, COC & RKL to name a few. Chris first began playing electric guitars at age fifteen and was catapulted into the thriving Reston hardcore scene. Bands like Avail, LDK, Transilience (led by Spooky Ruben) and Chris’ own band Doubt, were some of the many bands to arise out of Reston during the late eighties.
After a lengthy hiatus from performing, Chris has found his place in The Bungees doing what he loves.
Richard Schellenberg – Keys, Guitars and Vocals
Richard grew up listening to progressive rock, and then noise, goth, no wave, hardcore and punk.
He has been in many projects over the years. 1983-1985 BadDog at Virginia Tech, 1985 Hardcore Norfolk the Rotten Crotches/Smash, 1986-1988 Run Stumble and Fall from DC, 1990-1992 Lost Dog from Norfolk, 1997-1998 Killipede settled in RVA, 2000-2002 Supercharge and helped start Etching Tin Studio, 2002-2016 various lineups and changing names like Swing A Dead Cat, ElChupacabra, Guilt Trip Mission, and Schellenberg finally distilling into what is now Bungees! Also volunteers as Live Sound Engineer at Wrir 97.3 FM.
Mike Shea – Bass Vocals
Mike grew up playing in Soulcraft and other bands in Mechanicsville and Richmond.
Robert Pearson – Drums and Percussion
Robert completes the Bungees, bringing Austin Texas Garage Psychedelic Sensibilities and a new musicallity to the group.
